A little bragging....

Reese won the game for us last night, and one excited mama I was. Let me tell ya. I done the jig in the stands. He's had a rough time this year going from a pitching machine to an actual pitcher and getting hit the first game didn't help any. Well last night we were losing 7 to 6 and it was last bat. 2 outs, bases loaded, Reese is up to bat. I have to tell you I was thinking to myself well that's it games over. First pitch he drives it down first base line. I thought it was foul at first but it was a fair ball. All the way to the fence. Runs come in and game is over. WOO HOO! Reese made it to second and was like standing there going what'd I do. LOL. He got the game ball for the night and lots of pats on the back. Hopefully this will build his confidence back up now. And lets just say I left the ballfield one proud mama. But now I'm always proud of my kids just sometimes we get to be a little bit prouder........ WAY TO GO REESE MAN!!!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was pretty much laid back for me this year. We stayed at the river and I was minus all my children, which I have to say I didn't like but what better than a break for Mother's Day. They all did either text or call and wish me a happy Mother's Day and Kayla, Cal and Riley gave me a precious coffee mug. Mom and Dad gave me the Paula Dean measuring cups and spoons. If you haven't seen these they are precious. I'll try to get a pic of those on here. We went to moms and ate and I slept most of the day. ha. Something about being back home always makes me wanna sleep. Strange. Well Ken says during the day that my Mother's Day will be in tomorrow or Tuesday. Naturally I say oh you didn't have to get me anything. He replied with I didn't, the kids did, and they all have a part of it. Now I'm really wondering what it could be. So Monday and Tuesday pass and nothing. I actually forgot about it all cause Ken was leaving for work Thursday. Nothing else had been said about any of it. Well my daughter comes in this past weekend and says Happy Late Mothers Day. I open this little pink bag and I have the most beautiful, most precious mothers ring. It has all my kids as you can see in the picture. Absolutely the best Mother's Day present I have ever gotten. And who would have ever dreamed that I would have enough children and a grandchild to fill a mothers ring like this. Blessed, truly, simply, blessed...........

Happy Birthday honey.... I will always love you!!!

I wondered if I would ever find the man of my dreams. I didn't know who he might be,or when it might happen, but I did know this: the man of my dreams couldn't be just anyone. He had to be someone INCREDIBLE...The man of my dreams wasn't going to be easy to find. He had to be a lot of things: someone who I was able to be sincere with and communicate with and be completely honest with, who I'd trust no matter what, just the way I wanted him to be with me. He was going to have to love my children as if they were his own flesh and blood. Sometimes he would be outrageous and funny and wonderful, and yet he would be gentle and genuine and always there - in good times and bad. He would be very reassuring and supportive. The man of my dreams had to have a warm heart and a sensitive soul and be full of fun and friendship and shared feelings. It seemed like the man of my dreams was just a figment of my imagination...until you came along. And then..when you did...I discovered that you are EVEN MORE WONDERFUL than I imagined any could be. You have made my life more wonderful and complete than I could have ever imagined. I owe all the happiness that my heart has in it today and all the days to come to YOU! You are my EVERYTHING and I will always and forever love you! Happy Birthday!

Oh no not I, I will SURVIVE!!!!

Well I survived the birthday party with somewhere about 20 teenagers and Reese and Carleigh. Whew! I think the last ones left around 11:30 and 2 stayed the night. Got them up this morning and to the church by 10 to go on the youth group mystery trip today and then Reese, Carleigh and I headed to Meadville for LuLu's shower. Then back home change clothes and at the ballfield by 3:30. May I add we won 17-0! YAY! My little man go smacked tho while batting but he sucked it up and walked it off. Wow he's growing too fast. Then a quick trip by the grocery store for stuff to cook for our church picnic tomorrow and we're finally back home. I have a million things I need to be doing right now (cleaning my house back up included) but I am worn out. Can't stop now tho. Gotta cook for the picnic, wash some clothes and maybe load some things in the camper. Oh please Lord give me the strength. As my wonderful mother always reminds me, He never puts more on us than we can handle. But will somebody please tell me why He always assumes I can handle so much....lol.... Thank you Lord even tho I do question you!!!!

Happy 15th Birthday Matthew

Not flesh of my flesh
Nor bone of my bone,
But still miraculously my own.
Never forget for a single minute,
You didn't grow under my heart,
But in it.
Happy 15th Birthday Matthew!
You have brought more joy into my life than you could ever know.
I LOVE YOU!!!

Oh he got a haircut..

For those of you who have not seen him yet, this is Samson. He was my easter present from Ken and the kids. Ken felt it was time to get another dog for inside since my Jett man is getting so old. So we came home with this. ha ha . He is a Lhasa Poo. And let me tell you he is b.a.d. I don't remember the potty training being so hard with Jett. I think he may have just trained himself. We tried puppy pads and all he done was shread those up. I have to say he is doing better but if I'm not here ALL day long to let him out about every hour there is going to be an accident. My floors have now lost all their shine I believe from mopping so much with vinegar and water (by the way obviously that doesn't work)... Oh well... He's already won us all over and I'm praying potty training comes fast....

A guys night....

The men of the house had a night to themselves this past Tuesday. Thanks to Kayla they got tickets to the Governors Cup at Trustmark Park. As you can tell they decked out in their Ole Miss attire and headed out. May I add they also left early enough to go by the Nascar store in Brandon. ha ha. I tried to send the camera for some game shots but Ken insisted he was not taking a pink camera to the ballgame to take pictures. Ugh.. Men.. Oh well I managed to get them to pause getting in the car long enough to get this one. They got in late and Carleigh Gail and I were passed out in the bed but they had a blast and made some memories that will last a lifetime..

oh me.... that time again...

Well ball season has started again. We've has a couple practices and have a baseball camp tomorrow and a jamboree the next weekend. We found out who we play for yesterday. And of all things can you believe Bank of Franklin. Ken and I had a really good laugh on that one. In the middle of getting ball season on its way we are getting ready for Manson and Lauras wedding and of course my favorite trip of the year DEGA! Whoo Hoo! Ken goes back Thursday for just 7 days and then we are outta here! I can't wait! We are attempting to take Carleigh Gail this year because she insists that she's going and she's really more in to watching on tv than the boys are. ha ha! So after dega I have LuLu's bachlorette party, then Manson's honey do shower, then the wedding. Needless to say my Saturdays are booked from now until May 17th. It's ok tho. I'm excited about the wedding too. I just feel really old that the only boy in our family, that I have always considered my little brother, is getting married. Wow. Then we have April in December and Kari next June. I think they are attempting to see just how strong I am. ha ha ! Have a good weekend!

Easter....

Well I was minus my oldest on easter, well, the oldest living at home and of course my daughter forgets to come by after church for pictures so it was just me, Reese and Carleigh Gail for the photo session. But we had a wonderful day at my mother in laws (nanny) and everyone was there except for my dear sweet husband who was working but managed to call us about 15 times I do believe ha ha. I love you honey!

Birthday Princess and Miss Riley Claire......

sorry......

Sorry I've fell behind lately. Just too much going on the past couple of months to really sit down and type but I have found the time this morning finally.

Ken and I went to New Orleans Monday and spent the night. He had a meeting so we decided we take advantage and sneak a night to us in there. It was great. We done just what I wanted and didn't have to "rush" like we usually do everywhere we go.

My baby girl turned 4 several weeks ago. We had a sweet little princess birthday party for the princess. ha. She loved all her gifts and now informs me on her next birthday she'll be 5 years old. Wow! That's old to her! ha ha...

I have now hit week 5 on the recoop. Thank you lord for letting me get this far and I'm praying for week 6 now and hopefully be released fully! It is so hard to feel good but still not be able to do. And not being able to hold riley claire has drove me insane so after yesterday I had to just get her. I figured I'd made it this far and she can't be any worst than me going and buying groceries and packing them. I think I'm stealing her for Saturday and Saturday night. She just lights my day up. I love being a MiMi. I know now what my mother has meant all this time about grandchildren. People laugh when they find out I'm a grandmother and only 33 and it does sound funny but I feel like the most blessed MiMi in the world getting to experience it a younger age than most. God always knows what he's doing.

I'm not a good patient!

Well I done the dreaded a week ago and had a hysterectomy. Needless to say I've always considered myself a good patient. I'm not. I'm tired of not being able to do for myself and my house is driving me crazy. Ken was absolutely wonderful and at my every beck and call. He never left my side. But I honestly think he was glad to go back to work this time. He even suggested I may should ask for stronger hormone pills! ha! Maybe we'll get him some! And as usual my wonderful mother has been here helping with laundry and the kids and doing what she can, not to mention dad too. These are definately the times I wish they were just down the road again. But I am getting alot better and like everything else this too shall pass. No I am definately not a good patient and although I may have not shown it the past week, I am so very thankful for my wonderful husband and parents who've been right there for me. I love you guys!!

My precious babies

Well here's my babies. Though I have been informed by Reese that he's not a baby anymore (he'll always be my baby tho). Matthew is the oldest, 14 soon to be 15, and even though this child did not grow in my wound he has grown a place in my heart that he now shares with my other 2. In my eyes he is and forever will be "mine". Then there's my Reese man. Who has just taken on a whole new personality lately. He's growing up. He's now 9 and I feel like he was born just yesterday. He adores his big brother and argues like crazy with his little sister. ha! Both the boys are into the guitar thing. Matthew actually plays and is pretty dang awesome at it. Reese is still sticking to the guitar hero game at the moment but Matthew is talking him into drums I think. They both play soccer and Reese also plays baseball. Well then that just leaves one more. Miss Carleigh Gail. Whew! She's 3 about to be 4 but going on 20! ha! She rules the roost and everybody in it! There's not a day that goes by that I'm not amazed at what comes out of this childs mouth. The picture is of her first day at Easthaven. It was both happy and sad at the same time. She's the baby and well my "baby" now goes to school. She takes dance and she loves to sing. And lets not forget her favorite thing is to aggravate her brothers. ha! Well that's my babies. No they're not really babies but they will forever and always be "my babies"!!!

Title of my blog

In case your wondering about the title of my blog i'll explain. I believe a friend of mine from Meadville also has the same title and I'm sorry Tiff for stealing but I couldn't resist after reading the book. My mother and cousins (April and Kari) all gave me the book "Life in a blender" by Sandi Patty for my birthday last year and I think I have read it about three times now. It has helped me understand and handle some situations that have arose from blending 2 families together. Thanks mom and girls, the book has been a lifesaver for me at times. And sorry Tiff, please don't be mad at me!

New to this

Well i decided to start finally blogging! A couple of friends of mine have blogs and I enjoy them so much I decided what the heck let's give it a try. (and yours inspired me even more Marsha) May take me a little while to get some pictures posted because during the remodeling I seemed to have lost my camera cord (go figure) to load all my pics so bare with me on this.
